Stephanie Bordeau, DVM


Stephanie Bordeau, DVM is the managing doctor at North Channel Hospital. She graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine 2002. She also obtained her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M. 

Dr. Bordeau did her externship at Almeda East Veterinary Hospital in Aurora, Colorado where they film Animal Planet’s “Emergency Vets”. She followed around Kevin Fitzgerald and Dr. Steinheimer and has a few stories to tell. She was offered an internship following graduation at Almeda East. Dr. Bordeau also received the Gentle Doctor award from Texas A&M in 2002. She is also USDA accredited. She has been practicing for 12 years at North Channel Animal Hospital. Dr. Bordeau is married and has three children; Julie, Justin and Jack that occupy most of her time. Dr. Bordeau currently has 2 cats Whinja and Whiski and a guinea pig named Sugar Plum. She loves to play racquetball, volleyball, and softball as often as she can.

Dr. Emily Hickman

Dr. Emily Hickman was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She has been working in veterinary hospitals since high school and knows the dedicated team it takes to care for our furry patients. She grew up hearing the hog call and attended the University of Arkansas for her undergraduate degree. She then attended Louisiana State University for veterinary school. After practicing in Northwest Arkansas she and her significant other came to Houston. She is very excited to be at North Channel Animal Hospital. She looks forward to meeting you and your pet!

Dr. Hickman lives with her significant other David, a terrier mix named Sandy, and a grey tabby named Watson. She enjoys running, spending time outdoors, and reading in her free time. She and David are avid restaurant goers. Her father is an art professor, so she grew up active in the arts which included theater, choir, and even winning an 8th grade art contest! She spent a summer abroad in Italy studying their works of art in undergraduate school. She now enjoys continuing to support the arts and singing in the car.
