Stephanie Bordeau, DVM

Stephanie Bordeau, DVM is the managing doctor at North Channel Hospital. She graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine 2002. She also obtained her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M. 

Dr. Bordeau did her externship at Almeda East Veterinary Hospital in Aurora, Colorado where they film Animal Planet’s “Emergency Vets”. She followed around Kevin Fitzgerald and Dr. Steinheimer and has a few stories to tell. She was offered an internship following graduation at Almeda East. Dr. Bordeau also received the Gentle Doctor award from Texas A&M in 2002. She is also USDA accredited. She has been practicing for 12 years at North Channel Animal Hospital. Dr. Bordeau is married and has three children; Julie, Justin and Jack that occupy most of her time. Dr. Bordeau currently has 2 cats Whinja and Whiski and a guinea pig named Sugar Plum. She loves to play racquetball, volleyball, and softball as often as she can.


Dr. Emily Hickman

Dr. Emily Hickman dreamed of being a veterinarian from a young age. She looks forward to putting her skills to practice providing for the medical needs of your pet. She grew up in Arkansas, attended the University of Arkansas where she received a degree in Animal Science, hons. She then went to the Bayou and received her Veterinary Degree from LSU. She has enjoyed getting to know Houston. She enjoys exploring her new city and all it has to offer. Her hobbies include running, reading, eating, spending time with friends, and going to CrossFit. She has 2 cats, Watson and Holmes, and a dog named Sandy.


Dr. Kathryne de León

Dr. Kathryne de León is a native Houstonian and graduate of Mirabeau B. Lamar High School. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. Dr. de León continued her education and graduated with her DVM at Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, Dr. de León was eager to return to her hometown of Houston. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, attending music concerts and the symphony, and exploring the variety of restaurants that Houston has to offer. She also loves spending time with her beloved Border Collie mix, Luna, and her cuddliest cat, Bynx.
