Supporting Pets in Need

At North Channel Animal Hospital, we’ve partnered with the Veterinary Care Foundation to establish the North Channel Animal Hospital C.A.R.E.S. Fund, a non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation dedicated to helping pet owners facing financial hardship.

Every dollar donated goes directly toward providing medical care for sick or injured animals—none of your contributions will be used for administrative fees or salaries.

How Your Donations Help

North Channel Animal Hospital C.A.R.E.S. funds are exclusively used for:

  • Good Samaritan cases, providing care for pets without owners.

  • Financial crisis assistance, supporting pet owners who have demonstrated significant financial need.

  • Unexpected illness or injury. The C.A.R.E.S. fund allows our hospital to provide limited financial assistance for medically necessary care, helping pets receive timely treatment while supporting the people who love them.

To qualify for assistance, clients must first explore all other payment options, including CareCredit, Scratch Pay, personal credit cards, and support from family or friends.

How You Can Help

When you donate to the North Channel Animal Hospital C.A.R.E.S. Fund, 100% of your tax-deductible gift goes directly toward the medical care of pets in need. Your generosity can make a lifesaving difference.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Funds are available for pets treated at North Channel Animal Hospital.

  • Eligible pets must receive an examination by one of our veterinarians and have a favorable prognosis.

  • Patients with chronic or life-limiting conditions, such as diabetes, cancer, congestive heart failure, or elderly pets needing major surgery, are not eligible.

Please note: North Channel Animal Hospital C.A.R.E.S. funds are designed to supplement the cost of care, not cover treatment in full. Help us give pets the care they deserve. Your donation can save lives!
